Fan Fest Curitiba announces shows calendar

Fifa Fan Fest Curitiba, to be held between June 12 and July 13, will have a 100 m² screen for public viewing of the World Cup games and, also, will provide 55 local musical acts and 13 national singers.

According to the general coordinator of Fifa World Cup 2014 in Paraná, Mario Celso Cunha, the party will be held at Pedreira Paulo Leminski and the national artists schedule should start with Dudu Nobre.

Country music shows are also planned, including artists like João Lucas & Marcelo, Zeze Di Camargo & Luciano and Bruno e Marrone. Erasmo Carlos, Ed Motta and Sandra de Sá should join the party too.

The folk groups, samba schools and bands from Curitiba have not yet been announced. According to Marina dos Santos, RPCTV`s event coordinator, the 55 concerts will only be announced when all the contracts are settled.

Directed by Fifa, Globo (represented by RPCTV in Curitiba) and the Curitiba City Hall, the event will distribute wristbands to control the public, since the place cannot accommodate more than 20 thousand people per day. Power generators will also be installed to ensure electricity on the site.

According to the Curitiba Foundation, the shows and dates of the attractions are still under negotiation. The FCC`s suggestion for the Fan Fest Curitiba concerts schedule is:

July 08 – Ed Motta

July 09 – Bruno e Marrone

July 12 – Sandra de Sá

July 13 – Baile do Simonal e Raça Negra.
