The 12 host cities for the World Cup, during the event, will have a local program developed in partnership with Embratur. Named checklist, the program includes brochures, culture and cuisine, general information and guidance services at tourist arrival.
According to Marco Lomanto, Embratur´s Products and Destinations director, a meeting in Brasilia with representatives of the 12 host cities will be scheduled to define joint actions aimed at improving quality of the reception.
“During the World Cup, Embratur will, along with the host cities, promote the checklist on the international reception. There will be reception actions with promotional material and support staff. This Cup is, indeed, a milestone, because it will be a regionally distributed event. It will be a fantastic legacy, because people will get in contact with the diversity of our products that usually are placed on the shelf of some operators”, said Marco Lomanto.
In light of the new Air France flight, between Brasilia and Paris three times a week, starting from 31 March on, Embratur will also be preparing a series of promotional marketing actions to promote Brazil to the French market.
According to Marco Lomanto, most of the promotional actions will happen in May, with an eye on the World Cup, which will take place a month after in Brazil.
“In addition to our schedule, the Gol to Brazil event will happen. Also, in France, we will support a final public event, the Sensacionale Brazil, and, for one month, we will have a mega brazilian cuisine and culture exhibition in Paris. This coincides with the new Air France flight between Paris and Brasilia. This action will take place with the partnership of the states of Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Goiás and Brasilia. We will also promote the cultural heritage cities there in all the green and yellow scenery with the Cup as a theme”, concludes Marco.
The promotional actions of Embratur´s Gol to Brazil, until the World Cup, will start in London (March 19), passing by Santiago in Chile (April 04), Buenos Aires, Argentina (April 10) and Paris, France (April 17), cities that are considered important sources of dissemination of the attractions of the country and its diversity.
