Every three seconds an area of ??Amazon rainforest the size of a football field suffers damage from deforestation. But the world does not seem to give a shit for it. Google has a search volume for “deforestation” about 3 times smaller than the number of searches for “hair” of a football player.
Thinking about it, and aiming to raise awareness of environmental problems and the dangers of deforestation worldwide, the Rainforest Foundation is using the World Cup in Brazil.
It’s agency in Sweden, Try / ap, appealed to football greats, inviting them to cut their hair in protest against deforestation. Players such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Messi, Rooney, and also politicians from various countries were invited to join this live marketing action on behalf of the environment.
