Samsung Mexico joins to the Eco-Generation School

During the World's Enviroment Day, Samsung Electronics Mexico through Mexico Samsung Engineering Division, presented for first time in the country's initiative.

As part of a sustainable marketing strategy, Samsung worked in the “Eco-Generation School” initiative in Mexico, although South Korea emerged since 1996 with the goal of impacting children and youth with educational content on the environment.

Thus, as all brands have a social responsibility program with the care of nature and under the World Environment Day held on June 5, Samsung Electronics Mexico through Mexico Samsung Engineering Division, presented for first time in the country’s “Generation Eco-School” initiative, a program of social responsibility of the company, to raise awareness on environmental issues, aimed at children and youth.

During this action below the line, Samsung engineers become teachers for a day and visiting classrooms to teach a session on environmental issues. This time, the venue was the Aula Smart School Solution implemented last year at Children’s Hospital of Mexico “Federico Gomez” in which students under 12 receive a lecture on renewable energy prepared by volunteers and leaders Samsung Engineering project in Korea.

“Eco-Generation is one of the programs most important and strong global social responsibility, we are honored to bring these talks and materials to students in Mexico, while we have the support and training of those responsible project in Korea, who shared the lessons learned in the nearly 20 years of the project, “said Lourdes Herrera Moro, Sr. Manager of Government Relations and Corporate Social Responsibility Samsung Electronics Mexico.

“Similarly, our volunteers Samsung Engineering Mexico are very excited to receive this training felt and, in turn, bring this knowledge to children and youth on such an important issue as it is energy sustainability. We have great expectations for this initiative, “he concluded.

This action adds to social marketing which also made beer brand Corona and Walmart of Mexico Foundation, which held about 800 activities to benefit the environment, such as cleaning of beaches, rivers, sea, lakes and reforestation.

Volunteers are partners who work at Walmart, Bodega Aurrera, Superama, Suburbia, Sam’s Club and distribution centers nationwide company.
