Star Wars breaks a different record in Mexico

Cinépolis and Ping Solutions set a record endorsed by Guinness World Records to build a pyramid with over 42,000 commemorative cups of the new movie Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

With this action promotional marketing, both brands have joined the Star Wars fever and surprised its customers, adding to the Guinness World Records list that exists since 1955.

The Pyramid of glasses was placed in the Paseo Acoxpa Cinépolis in Mexico City. It has a height of eight meters per five meters base. All glasses are laminated with a certificate of authenticity, because they belong to an exclusive collection of 10 different images wich fans of the series can acquire.

In an interview, Moris Guterman, Master Mind Ping Solutions, said the collectible cups of Cinépolis have become an object of desire legions of movie fans, and so was chosen as the natural product to achieve this world record.

"Fans of Star Wars can buy these glasses just by Cinépolis site in a package that includes 10 different models. Because it is a limited and collectible edition, each cup serial number is stamped and come in a commemorative packaging Guinness Record" , Guterman said.

With one of the film pre-sales higher in Mexico, Cinépolis will take the big screen and nationally seventh episode of the Star Wars saga on 17 December in all formats: 2D, 3D, 4DX.
