According to the company, the Nike design team worked closely with the five clubs to adapt the intervention to the individual style of each team. Besides the color, each uniforms will bring the phrase “Born to play football” in them, present in the national team t-shirts since 2010.

On the eve of the World Cup, competing brands have entered the fight for products that allude to the national team. In October, Palmeiras, which has a supply contract with Adidas, has also launched a green and yellow t-shirt, commemorating the club´s centenary.
Recently, CBF, sponsored by Guarana Antarctica, won a lawsuit against Coca-Cola for showing a yellow t-shirt in advertisement, claiming misuse of the image of the national team’s uniform.

On appeal, Coca-Cola claimed that the advertising campaign used the green and yellow colors based on the National Flag, but the explanation was not accepted by the Supreme Court. The Nike moldels were available online for pre-order and in stores all over Brazil since February 12.
