But the mystery was soon unraveled when looking at the base of Christ, which read “downloaded with Fastweb”. The live marketing action created by M & C Saatchi, Milan, aimed to prove the effectiveness of internet access provider.

cristo milano 2The Christ was chosen because it was one of the most downloaded and shared images this year in Italy during the World Cup. The campaign continues online.

The action is part of a campaign that featured another recent action, in a subway in Italy, where one day the passengers were surprised to arrive at the Shibuya Station in Tokyo. To call attention to the speed of Fastweb passengers had the impression to go from Italy to Japan in a few minutes. The complex operation look after every detail, so people truly felt crossing the world when leaving the subway. Watch the video:
