Will.i.am and Coca-Cola have launched an initiative called Ekocycle, which aims to work with popular brands to create new versions of their products made partly from recycled materials.

Ekocycle works with the brands that consumers love to make what they want better. They have introduced a number of products and will be continuing to roll out more.

There is a pair of Beats by Dre headphones made from 31% recycled materials, a New Era baseball cap that consists of traditional polyester and recycled plastic bottles, an iPhone 5 case developed with Case-Mate that is made from 100% recycled materials, and a pair of Levi’s 501 Waste<Less jeans, which use an average of eight recycled PET plastic bottles.

Ekocycle plans to partner with other companies in the future to offer a range of different products, which will all feature a tag showing how many plastic bottles or cans went into the reimagined design.
